July, and I'm actually on time for once. Be still my beating heart.
Or maybe not. I need that. Keeps me going when caffiene fails me. I know
the fourth is right around the corner. It's actually right up the block and
looming fast. I can say, I don't think I have any plans for the Fourth of July
other then to go to the local park and watch the small town fireworks. The
excitment of my life. Just Rockstar insane, don't ya think?
Yeah, me neither. LOL
The end of the year is filling up fast. I have a bunch, and in southern
that means 'Oh God! Too many!' as I hold up the universal "whoa!" sign of booked
appearances and appointments to keep. But it's all for a good reason. My first
book will be in print in less than three months. I know. I'm shocked too! But I'm
so excited, I just want to share it with everyone. So I'm making sure I can. Don't
believe me, just check the appearances page. It multiplied like that proverbial metal
hanger used to, or the bunny your cousin kept from his science experiment. I'm going
to be one busy woman in a very short amount time. I hope someone remembers to feed me.
That's all I ask. Yeah, I know. I'm probably on my own for that too.
The other good news to report is that I've acquired a new publisher, and a new identity.
A psuedonym for some much steamier work. Short story is I was challenged by a dear friend,
but she had no idea I'd keep going with it. Neither did I. So now I have stories that I'll
be putting out under the Diana DeRicci
name. Right now, or for the near future, they'll be
found at Liquid Silver Books. But if you want to check it out, cruise over to "her" site. It's
all there and sparkly. I haven't had a chance to dirty the tires on it yet, but I'll get there.
Feel free to help me. A good website deserves a homewarming party.
I should also be updating more on the book pages with the new releases on the horizon and more
info on the books going to print. I'll have a new contemporary releasing in December from Whiskey
Creek Press. I'll update on that as I get the information to share.
So my final thought for today: Stay safe and enjoy your Fourth of July. Remember don't drink
and drive. It's just not worth it. And regardless of your view of the war, remember that our
soldiers are 100% volunteer and if weren't for them, we wouldn't even have this holiday.... Okay, so
not them specifically, but you know what I mean. Remember that independence is ours, but it
isn't free.
Love as always,
Diana
